Whilst we all await Christopher Nolan’s hotly anticipated third instalment in the Batman reboot, the guys at Design By Humans have launched a contest in conjunction with Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures to design an official T-shirt for the film.
Ten finalists will have their work judged by Nolan and Producer Emma Thomas, who will then decide the winners. This is a fantastic opportunity for any creative designer (and film lover!), and it also gets your work potential exposure with the Film’s Art Department.
The Prizes range from $1.500 for 5th place, up to $3,500 for 1st, plus 1st-5th place winners get 12 tees of their choice from the website’s store.

As we as a species continue to advance and expand our understanding of ourselves and the world(s) around us, landmark breakthroughs in science and technology are often received with awe and praise. However the same achievements in medicine & more notably genetics can split the audience. One phrase comes up regularly. Are we “Playing God”, and more importantly, should we?
Keith Brooke’s lead protagonist Noah Barakh takes this.. well, a whole flight of steps further. And this time Technology is the means. He is the creator of an Artificial Heaven.
Noah is the Architect of The Accord. With his team, and government backing, they have created the opportunity for people to upload an “instance” of themselves into this virtual world which then activates when they pass away in the Real World. Retaining memories of their life up to …

At Inamo, the dining experience is all about fun and interaction. Utilizing the E-Table visual ordering service, a digital menu system is projected onto your table from the pods above. From this, you are able to browse and preview your choices as the meals spring to life on your plate. Click “order”, and the real thing will be with you in a matter of minutes. But that’s only half the story. The same system allows you to set the mood of the table, enabling you to choose from a variety of “tablecloths” in the form of patterns & images. In addition, you can access a “Kitchen Cam” to see the cooking in action, play games like Pairs & Battleships with your fellow diner, get ideas on where to go next and even order a cab.

On the twenty fifth day of the first month of this year, I reached three decades of existence. Yep, 30. THREE-ZERO… read em and weep.
Thirty years sounds a lot. An awful lot. If anything, it doesn’t even seem plausible. I mean, that’s old as Back To The Future examples… If I’m honest with you, it hasn’t really registered yet despite Marty McFly’s best efforts.
I did start to do a mini self-assessment thought. Am I happy with the way life has turned out so far? Have I accomplished things I set out to do by now? Is there anything I would have done differently?.. I guess in general its been pretty unpredictable at times, and there’s been plenty of experiences across the board. Work, travelling, relationships (all the usual answers I guess). What I can say is …

This week Angela and I went along to The Book Club, a neat little venue in Shoreditch to check out “Screen Social“, a new series of charity Audio Visual events where Music Videos, Animation, short films & experiments are spliced with movie ‘soundtracks of your lives’. The events are hosted by Cannes in a Van and enables upcoming animators and film-makers to have their work shown in front of a live audience. Many if not all of the work shown was new to everyone who attended.
In addition, there was a performance by special guests “The Winchester Club” of their new album Negative Liberty. The album was inspired by the seminal documentary series “The Trap: What Happened to our Dream of Freedom” by Adam Curtis. Curtis’s series was split into three one-hour programs, and attempted to explore the development of our …
