Lighting designer, freelance graphic designer, and self-confessed Photoshopaholic… That’s me in a nutshell.

After graduating university in Product Design, I have worked the past 7 years for several  London based lighting companies, on a wide variety of high-end projects including retail, leisure, commercial and residential buildings. Whilst producing lighting concept designs and media for client presentations, I also began developing enhancement techniques to visually represent & replicate our lighting proposals. Taking an image of the project in its existing state, and overlaying effects that realistically portrayed the concept scheme, these “light renderings” provide an intuitive and identifiable method of conveying the final design to any client.

Whenever I’m not lighting, I moonlight as a freelance graphic artist under the moniker “Devious”, delving into three dimensional, digital, abstract, fractal design and photography. From an early age, I’ve always had a love of art and design. Adding an equal passion for music, I always enjoy the chance to undertake a project that melds the two together. With areas including CD artwork and band promotion, web graphics & brand identities, over the years I have worked with a variety of clients both in the UK and overseas.

This diverse media & background creates an ever present enthusiasm which drives me to continually develop and advance my design approach.

My name is Dan.

Welcome to my Devious Creations.
